FCA Baseball & Softball in the Dominican Republic In June of 2009, FCA Baseball led its first mission trip to the Dominican Republic, leading 35 middle school-aged baseball players and their coaches to serve the physical and spiritual needs of the Dominican people using baseball as the platform. It was a very successful trip that ultimately served as the genesis to a long term vision for FCA Baseball & Softball in the Dominican Republic.
So in July of 2010, we returned to the Dominican Republic to continue what was started. This time with 101 middle school and high school aged baseball & softball players, their coaches and other accompanying adults.
Our mission and vision for the Dominican Republic trips is to use the common bond and love for the games of baseball & softball as a platform to impact the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches. These short term trips offer tremendous opportunities to effectively impact the lives of the Dominican people while at the same time offer baseball & softball athletes and coaches from communities across Georgia opportunities for possitive changes in their own lives as they are exposed to a greater world view.
FCA Baseball & Softball is committed to our long term vision in the Dominican Republic and encourage you to be a part of it. Details for our 2011 trips are currently being put together and will be announced shortly.
